Potty training

For about three weeks now, Ella has been interested in the potty. Poop bothers her, and when it happens, she asks to be changed.

After her teacher told me that every time she poops at school she says “Licia (Alicia), poop” and wants to be changed, I decided it was time for pull-ups and M&Ms.

Every evening before getting into the bathtub, I ask her if she wants to pee. She always wants to sit on the potty and 50% of the time she actually pees but the rest of the time she just grabs a bunch of toilet paper and wipes herself.

On Tuesday, she sat on the potty and peed. I praised her and ran downstairs to get the M&Ms. Much to my surprise, as I walked into the bathroom, I found her standing on the step in a little puddle if pee. Poor baby! I told her it was ok and gave her an M&M. She took a bite, spit it out and handed it back to me.
