Opening Ceremonies

I guess this means I’m getting old. I’m sitting around on a Saturday morning, drinking coffee and eating museli while watching the Opening Cermonies (which I Tivo’d) and loving it. I wish I could go back in time and buy tickets to China and the ceremonies at whatever cost because it was absolutely amazing. If you didn’t see them, I suggest you go find a friend who recorded it and check it out. They said China spent 300 million on this one night at the Bird’s Nest and it shows. Everything seemed to go on without a hitch. I can’t even fathom what it took to visualize, design and implement such a show. As Kelly told me this morning, “My peeps are really impressive”. I’m looking forward to spending the weekend watching the games and in the longer run, visiting China.
