First Snowstorm

We hoped. We prayed. And on Friday, 2/22, it finally happened: our first big snowstorm in NY. We woke up that morning and looked out the window and this is what we saw…SNOW! Lots of it!
I made my way to work only to find out that everybody was working from home. So I took the train back and joined Diesel in our 500 sq feet apartment, where we both spent the day working from home. And YES, we both survived. For lunch we decided to go to Bruschetteria, a little sandwich shop a block away that has a great lunch deal: $15 for an appetizer, your choice of bruschetta sandwich and a big pour of wine!

The meal was delicious, and we finished it off with espressos and a chocolate chip cookie, which the owner was kind enough to nook, making it a piece of warm cheewy, gooey goodness!

That night we met up with Rose and Jimmy for Korean barbecue at Shilla’s in Koreatown. I have to admit I’m still very unfamiliar with Korean cuisine, so I’ll have to drag Lauren over to K-town when she’s in town. Diesel and I ended up going to Fat Baby, a divey bar down the street from our apartment for a glass of wine.
